Bradley reportedly to be named interim National Team coach

12/08/2006 - Philadelphia, PA (Sportsbook Betting Lines) - Now that talks with former German National Team head coach Jurgen Klinsmann have broken down, the U.S. Soccer Federation is reportedly turning to former Chivas USA head man Bob Bradley to take control of the team on an interim basis.
According to the New York Times, Bradley is expected to be named the interim head coach of the national team on Friday.
Bradley is the all-time winningest coach in Major League Soccer history, and has been named the MLS Coach of the Year on two occasions, including this past season, when he guided Chivas to a third-place finish in the Western Conference after a last-place campaign the year prior.
The 48-year-old Bradley coached the Chicago Fire to the 1998 MLS Cup title and has also enjoyed great success as an assistant under former national team coach Bruce Arena at both D.C. United in MLS and Virginia in the college ranks.
The New Jersey native has coached at a variety of levels in the United States, but with no international experience of note, it begs the question as to whether much will change from Arena's time at the helm. The U.S. Soccer Federation seems reluctant to give control to the new head man, whoever it turns out to be, and that is reportedly what kept Klinsmann from taking the job.
The United States will take the pitch for the first time since the World Cup on January 20, with a friendly against Denmark in Carson, California.

Kurt Warner to start, Matt Leinart to watch
Despite the debate that's swirling , Kurt Warner will remain the starting quarterback for the Arizona Cardinals, coach Dennis Green said today. The Arizona Cardinals are the +7 point underdog at online sportsbook MySportsbook.com for this Sunday's game.
Green's comment came in a statement released by the team following an ESPN report that Green decided that rookie Matt Leinart would replace Warner as starter for Sunday's game at Atlanta.
"Generally talking about the starting lineup is not something we do," Green told the AP. "However, given the speculation that was out there we want to make it clear. We're disappointed after last week, but we still expect to be a playoff football team and we fully expect Kurt Warner to be the quarterback that leads us. That has not changed."
