Toronto hopes to stay on Fire at home

05/07/2010 - Toronto, ON (Sportsbook Betting Lines) - Toronto FC coach Preki admitted he made a poor decision leaving Dwayne De Rosario and Julian de Guzman on the bench last week at Real Salt Lake.
"The experiment I had tried with the group didn't work," Preki told GOLTV.
Toronto allowed a goal inside 15 minutes, trailed 2-0 at halftime, and despite De Rosario's sixth goal of the season in the second half, lost 2-1 to lose for the fourth time in as many games on the road this season.
Preki doesn't intend make the same mistake again, and will have De Rosario and De Guzman in the starting lineup at BMO Field on Saturday against the Chicago Fire.
"For the next game we need to come to work from the first minute," Preki said.
Considering De Rosario has been Toronto's offense so far, it was a surprise to see him on the bench last week. De Rosario has six of the team's seven goals - including all three on the road.
De Rosario also has three of the team's four goals at BMO, where it has all of its points so far this season. Toronto defeated the Philadelphia Union 2-1 and Seattle Sounders FC 2-0 in its only two home games.
Toronto plays two of its next three MLS games on the road, and can't afford to drop points at BMO.
Toronto goalie Stefan Frei, who has allowed 12 goals, knows he has to continue to grow for the team to become more solid this season.
"They are things that I can always do better and I think that's something that makes me play okay every game because I know my faults and the things I do wrong every game," Frei said.
"Definitely, if I can give that sense to my back four that I am consistent and there to bail them out, that's good because that's important but I have a long ways to go."
Chicago tied Chivas USA at Toyota Park 1-1 last weekend. So far, the Fire are 1-1-1 at home and 1-1-1 on the road.
The Fire will be without midfielder Justin Mapp, who has played in six games, but otherwise coach Carlos de los Cobos has the core of his team healthy for a battle in Canada.
